The first-person horror game, Poppy Playtime, was released for the first time in October 2021.
You used to work for the Playtime factory. It was the undisputed ruler of the toy industry. However, one day, all of the employees vanished. Police investigated the case but were unable to find any leads. The factory was then closed and abandoned.
After receiving a mysterious letter from one of the missing employees, you decide to return here to find out what happened to all of the workers. Your mission is to uncover the factory's secrets.
The player receives a package containing VHS tape. The film begins with a factory tour and a commercial for the doll Poppy Playtime before cutting to spliced-in footage of graffiti depicting a poppy and a note from the missing workers pleading with them to "discover the flower." After deciphering the security door's code and entering the abandoned toy factory, they recover the GrabPack, which they use to unlock the lobby door. When the player first enters the room, they are introduced to Huggy Wuggy, who is displayed in the room's center. The power outage forces them to switch on the lights in the power room while attempting to unlock one of the doors in the foyer.
Actually, Poppy Playtime doesn't depict that much violence. It's more about the implied consequences for the player if they are discovered. Nevertheless, some scenes include graphic or violent material.
